The Happiness and Misery of Monsieur Lantin      At the start of â€Å"The Jewels†, Lantin meets the lady he had always wanted (and of each different man’s) and promptly experiences passionate feelings for and weds her. Their lives go on in immaculate amicability and satisfaction, and consistently Lantin falls all the more profoundly infatuated with his charming spouse. Lantin has just two grumblings about the character of his significant other: her adoration for the theater and her affection for counterfeit adornments. In the end Lantin quits heading off to the theater, and his significant other goes alone.
